This week’s book recommendation is Skirts at War, by Jenna Korf.

Here’s a little note from Jenna:

I wrote Skirts at War: Beyond Divorced Mom/Stepmom Conflict because I could see from Facebook groups, my own client base and my own personal experience, that there are thousands of stepmoms who are in a situation where no matter how hard they try, they just can’t get along with their partner’s ex. This conflict between moms and stepmoms is so common, yet there are very few resources fully dedicated to it, so I was compelled to fill that gap. Having been in that situation myself, I knew how hard it was and what specific challenges there are to overcome. The book is filled with strategies to help you thrive as a stepmom, regardless of how the ex is behaving. There’s even a chapter for the dads, written by husband! My hope is that this book will help stepmoms (and moms) gain the tools to deal with one of the hardest situations they’ll ever be in, so they get back to being themselves, focused on their relationship and family, and not spend all their time stressed out about the ex.
