Strawberry Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients

Ice Cream

2.75 c 35% cream
1.5 c 1% milk
1 tbsp vanilla
1 cup sugar

Coulis

1 pint raspberry
1/3 cup sugar
water

Directions

Coulis

In a sauce pot put berries and sugar
Add water until almost covered.
Heat on stove on med-low until products combine and become slightly thick.
Cool completely.

Ice Cream

Combine cream, milk, vanilla and sugar. Whisk slowly to incorporate but do not foam.

Add to a chilled ice cream maker.
Takes approximately 20-25 minutes to make.

When ice cream is starting to thicken add raspberry coulis.

Transfer to freezer in an ice cream container.

Freeze for 2-3 hours.

The Sundae

You can add whatever toppings you enjoy the most.

I added chopped cashews, chocolate sauce, whipped cream and of course a cherry on top.
